In celebration of the 22nd anniversary of Final Fantasy VII’s North American release, Square Enix has recreated one of the game’s most iconic artworks. In the remade image, additional details and colours pop anew as Cloud stands before the Shinra building, one hand resting on the hilt of his sword as green fumes of mako energy rise upwards.
The release of this gorgeous touch up also acts as a timely reminder that part one of Final Fantasy VII Remake is not far off, slated for a 3 March 2020 release for PlayStation 4. For those who are eagerly anticipating when Final Fantasy VII Remake finally hits the shelves, old fans and newcomers alike, check out the game’s official Square Enix website for trailers and more to satiate you until the 2020 release date.
